Thompson Hine’s Washington, DC office is seeking an Investment Management Attorney with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, three of which have been spent in a law firm environment. Qualified candidates will have prior experience with registered funds (mutual funds or ETFs), both with registering new funds as well as ongoing representation updating registration statements, reviewing annual reports, preparing board meeting materials, drafting minutes, drafting proxies and related documents, and providing analysis and advising on the 1940 Act. Experience representing registered investment advisers with registration and compliance matters, and private fund (hedge fund, PE and VC) work is preferred, but not required. Experience with ISDAs, CFTC registration, broker dealerregulation, and transactional experience with Fund mergers and reorganizations is also a plus.
